Margie Catherine Duke

Our blessed mother, Mrs. Margie Catherine Gregory Duke, 86, of Statesville was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. She was born in Iredell County on September 4, 1935, a daughter of the late Bub Gregory and Ethel Adams Gregory. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Duke, a son, Rocky Duke, a daughter, Alice Faye Duke, a great-grandson, Justin Alspaugh, two brothers, James Gregory and Everette Gregory, and three sisters, Mary G. Overcash, Rachel G. Duke and Margaret G. Turnmire. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Margie was a gracious and loving mother; a friend to us all. She will be missed so much by all who loved her. She is survived by three sons, Roger L. Duke, Sr., wife Nancy, Ronnie L Duke, wife Debbie, Robert A. Duke, wife Myrna, one brother, Bobby Gregory, seven grandchildren, Roger Duke Jr., Angela Duke Borrilez, Robert Duke, Jr., Daniel Duke, Michelle Duke Myers, Bryan Duke, Timia Duke, 14 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 29, 2022, at 1 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Grandchildren, Roger Duke Jr., Chris Duke, Robert Duke Jr., Daniel Duke, Devin Alspaugh and Bryan Duke, will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.
