Andrew Lewis “Tony” Pendleton III, of Statesville, NC, passed away on July 28, 2026 at the age of 73. He was born in Statesville on September 17, 1952. Known to all for his unwavering kindness, Tony lived a life defined by generosity, quiet strength, and a steady devotion to the people he loved.

He attended Statesville Senior High School and continued his education at Mitchell Community College where he earned a Bachelors Degree. He worked for Travel Associates in Statesville for 30+. Tony was a member of Living Word Ministries Church.

Tony is survived by his brother, George Pendleton and family; his son, Brandon Pendleton, his wife, Brittany, and their children, Jack (7) Charlotte (5); His son, Charles Young (CJ), his partner, Haley, and their children, Ayden (15), Alanna (10), Charles Jr. (Charlie) (1). He cherished his family deeply. Nothing brought him greater joy than watching his children and grandchildren grow.

Those who knew Tony will remember his gentle spirit, his readiness to help anyone in need, and the warmth he carried into every room. His kindness was not a single act but a lifelong habit—one that shaped his family and touched countless others.

A service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Living World Ministries of Statesville, North Carolina officiated by Pastor James Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Living Word Ministries or Gordon Hospice House of Statesville.
