Beatrice Summers Johnson

Mrs. Beatrice Summers Johnson, 79, of Statesville, died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on October 31, 1935, she was a daughter of the late George Summers and Alice Beckham Summers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William Ray Johnson. She was a member of Mountain Road Baptist Church and retired from Cap Star Textiles. She enjoyed time with her family above all else. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Wiley (Bill) of Statesville, two sisters, Elsie Johnson and Frankie Eller both of Statesville, grandchildren: Allison Messick, Bryan Aycoth and Shane Wiley along with five great grandchildren. Services celebrating Mrs. Johnson's life will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Fox and Rev. Jeff Lux officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Committal services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
