Billy Ray Church

Mr. Billy Ray Church, 84, of Statesville, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Wilkes County, N.C. on June 23, 1932, he was a son of the late William Hal Church and Virgia Blackburn Church. He was retired from N. L. Fasteners of Statesville and attended James Grey High School in Winston-Salem. Survivors include his former wife and loving friend, LaNelle Hunter Church of Winston-Salem, a daughter, Ranelle Church Henry of Charlotte and grandchildren: Dona Chemena Navey, Daniel Courtney Navey, Dana Christen Navey and Deanna Celeste Navey. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 29, 2017 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston-Salem with Courtney Navey officiating.
