Bobby Ray Mayberry Sr., 51, of Stony Point, NC passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Iredell Memorial Hospital after a period of declining health.

Bobby was born on January 15, 1974 in Iredell County, NC to the late Danny Clyde Mayberry Sr and Mary Mayberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Mayberry Jr. 

A graduate of the CVCC Bobby Isaac School of Automotive Technology, Bobby was a gifted mechanic and carpenter. He was intelligent, hands-on, and known as a true problem solver. He took great pride in his work, held himself to the highest standards, and was a perfectionist by nature. Bobby could fix just about anything and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors working on the farm, baling hay and caring for animals. He knew and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was a long-time member of Hillside Baptist Church in Statesville. Bobby lived out his faith through kindness, generosity, and service to others. He had a sharp sense of humor, loved to joke, and could always bring a smile to someone’s face. He was especially good with children.

Bobby was a Ford fanatic and enjoyed listening to Southern Rock and Classic Rock music. Above all, he had a big heart and deeply loved his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Lynette Aldridge; beloved daughter, Jessica “Nicole”(Cody) Clanton and son, “BJ” Bobby Mayberry Jr. and their mother, Christy (TJ) Smith; son, Sebastian Ray Mayberry; sister, Kelly (Wayne) Taylor; grandchildren, Audrey Clanton and Axel Clanton, and several nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
