Brenda Kay Bowles, age 82, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, in her hometown of Statesville, North Carolina. Born on August 7, 1944, in Statesville, she was a beloved wife, mother, and friend who dedicated her life to caring for those she loved.

Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Edward "Junior" Jolly and Margie Millsaps Jolly. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Belinda Bowles, and her dear sister, Janet Jordan.

As a devoted homemaker, Brenda found her greatest joy in nurturing her family and home. She was a caregiver at heart and loved to take care of people, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile to those in need.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Cecil Bowles, who stood by her side through life's many seasons. She leaves behind her daughter, Shelly Channel, and son-in-law, Thomas, who will forever cherish her memory. Her niece, Janna Summers, also survives her, along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

A graveside service to honor Brenda's life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Daniel Melton will officiate the service, celebrating the life of a woman whose kindness and compassion touched many.

Brenda's legacy of love and care will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to her family.
