Caleb Seth Pender

Caleb Pender, age 32, passed away on April 14, 2026.

Caleb was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He was a graduate of Tucumcari High School in 2011. was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend who never met a stranger. He had a heart for helping others and would often carry the burdens of those around him before his own.

Caleb will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His eyes sparkled when he greeted you, and his smile—so genuine and infectious—could light up any room.

He loved spending time with family and friends, joking, laughing, and making memories. Caleb had a passion for spicy food and grilling out, as well as boating, fishing, and days spent on the lake. He also had a soft spot for animals, showing them the same kindness and care he gave to everyone around him. He loved music and motorcycles, often riding with earbuds in—though he lost many along the way. He ultimately passed doing what he loved most.

Caleb had a special love for children and longed to have a family of his own. He was cherished and, as he would jokingly admit, “spoiled” by his mother. When teased about it, he would flash that familiar smile and say, “Yeah! But you love me!”

Though his passing came far too soon, there is comfort in knowing Caleb loved the Lord and is now at peace. He is reunited with his beloved maternal great grandparents Papa Dewey and Rose Ski, grandparents Jo and Walt, grandpa Ski and paternal Grandmother Bertha. along with others who went before him.

He leaves behind a family and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory. His presence, his laughter, and his love will never be forgotten.

Though we will miss the daily conversations, we take comfort in knowing we can still speak to him in our hearts and in prayer.

Caleb would want everyone to know the love he found in his faith. He would encourage you to know the Lord Jesus and to have a personal relationship with Him. Caleb believed deeply in a loving and good God who calls His children home—and he would want to see you there with him one day.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher Lee Pender and Michael Pender; maternal great grandparents Papa Dewey and Rose Ski;  grandparents Jo and Walt, grandpa Ski and paternal Grandmother Bertha

He is survived by his mother, Sandy Thorson (Jeff); father, Kerry Pender; brothers, Christopher Paul Horlacher and Donovan Pender; sisters, Crystalee Horlocher, Cari Jo Marie Horlocher and Tina Pender; wife, Karey Pender, son, Lane Elliott.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 5PM to 7PM at the Thorson Home located at 1083 Midway Road Statesville, NC 28625.
