Carla Danette Nichols, 64, departed this life unexpectedly in the P.M. hours of July 31 2026.

She was born August 17, 1961 in Iredell County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Lawson and Mrs. Mary Jane (Patterson) Nichols. She was a graduate of North Iredell High School (Olin, N.C.) Carla worked as a cook for many years before her retirement . She was a member of the Greater Love Apostolic Holiness Church (Taylorsville, N.C.). She loved music, dancing, laughing, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, Jermaine and Jerome Nichols; her sisters Betty, Doris,  Cecelia, and Phyllis Nichols ; brothers Richard, Michael and Marshall Nichols.

Left to cherish her memory is her fiance’ Jaroyed Morrison. Her daughters, McKayla Nichols, Natasha Linster ( Octavius) of Statesville , NC. SheQuite Robinson of Mocksville . Her grandchildren Jamir and Jayshon Craig, Zayden Linster, Orlando Linster , Taya Linster , Zacharious Robinson , Jalea Robinson; sister, Barbara Gaither , Rhonda Nichols of Harmony, Sheila N Long, Valerie ( Emmanuel) Brown of Troutman; Brothers, Rickey Nichols and Gary Nichols of Statesville and Steven Nichols of Harmony; special friends: Loni E. , Ingnd S., Tania H. , Celest C. , Elaine R., Dee-Dee N. and Wanda W.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and church family.

Funeral service will be held at 2PM, Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Overseer Tristan Minor Officiating and Eulogist. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
