With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Carolene "Carol" Mildred Turner Gryder, who departed this earth for her heavenly home on November 2, 2025, at the age of 73. Carol passed away peacefully of natural causes in the embrace of her beloved hometown of Statesville, NC.

Born on February 3, 1952, in Iredell County, NC, Carol's life was a testament to faith, love, and dedication. A proud alumna of North Iredell High School, she enriched her community as a diligent Shipping Manager for an awards company, bringing precision and care to her work every day.

Carol's heart was boundless, evident in her nurturing spirit and the warmth with which she enveloped all those around her. As a member of Providence Methodist Church, she expressed her devotion through music, often gracing the choir with her melodious voice. Her culinary skills were celebrated at family gatherings where her dishes served as a vessel of love. Carol found immense joy in tending to her vibrant garden, a testament to her tender care and appreciation for beauty.

She joins her parents, Marvin Glen Turner and Connie Olivia Stanley; and siblings, Ruby, Hazel, Glen and Arnold, in eternal peace.

Her legacy is carried on by her loving husband, Dennis Gryder; her cherished children, Brian Gryder alongside his wife Penni, and Traci Gryder Cross with her husband Brian; her adored grandchildren, Andrew and Caroline Cross; her precious siblings Alice and Joyce.
