Charlie Walter Summers

Charlie "Bud" Summers, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born on November 29, 1943, in Statesville, North Carolina, Bud lived a life dedicated to faith, family, and service. He proudly served his country as a Vietnam veteran in the United States Army. Bud loved the Love Valley community, participating in wagon trains, and could often be found fixing, building, or tinkering with just about anything. His hardworking spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand touched many lives.

A devoted member of Love Valley Presbyterian Church, Bud faithfully served his church family and found strength, comfort, and purpose in his faith.

Bud was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He provided unwavering love, guidance, and support, creating a legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion that will continue through the lives of those he loved.

He is survived by his children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great grandchild, and many relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Though he has departed this earthly life, the love he shared, the faith he lived, the example he set, and the joy and laughter he brought to others will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

A private service celebrating his life and faith will be held at Love Valley Presbyterian Church. Family and friends wishing to honor Bud's memory may make a contribution to Love Valley Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers.
