Charlotte Inman Hendrickson, 70, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, at The Greens at Maple Leaf, following a lengthy illness. Born on September 11, 1954, in Washington, DC, Charlotte spent her formative years in Fairfax, Virginia, where she graduated from Oakton High School. Her compassionate nature led her to work as a nurse’s aide earlier in life, a role that perfectly matched her loving and sweet spirit.
Charlotte was a devout member of the Baptist faith. Her strong belief shaped her daily life, and she found great joy in reading and studying the Bible. Her faith also brought her comfort during her illness as she continued to nurture her relationship with God. She cherished the fellowship and Sunday worship at the nursing home, where she lived. Despite her health challenges that limited her mobility, she found solace and companionship in her surroundings and truly loved the people she met there.
Beyond her faith, Charlotte enjoyed music, played Bingo, and engaged in the various activities organized at the nursing home. These interests brought her moments of happiness that indicated the depth of her vibrant personality.
Charlotte is survived by her beloved son, Jordan Hendrickson; her brother, Paul Inman; aunt and uncle, Martha and Bill Revis of Elkin, NC; cousin, Gloria Murtiff (Andy) of State Road, NC; her close friends, Linda Whitmore and Debbie Rubin; and other cousins and family members who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Preceding her in death were her father, Rufus Edgar Inman; her mother, Julia Swann Inman; and her sister, Carolyn Inman, all of whom she deeply missed after their passing.
Charlotte Inman Hendrickson will be remembered not only for her faith and service to others but also for the warmth and kindness she radiated throughout her life. Her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
