Clay Evans Kilpatrick

Mr. Clay Evans Kilpatrick, 88, of Statesville, died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Mapleleaf Health Care Center. Born in Iredell County on December 6, 1928, he was a son of the Walter Kilpatrick and Jeannett Bowers. He was a member of 7th St. Baptist Church and was a retired furniture worker. He was preceded in death by siblings: John Eugene, Roy Lee, Harold Andrew, Ray and Robert W. Kilpatrick, Ruby Cowan, Mary Pauline Ellis, and Muriel Pauline Freeze. Survivors include a son, Jeff Kilpatrick (Helen) , a daughter, Jennifer Kilpatrick, a sister, Patsy K. Dison and grandchildren: Courtney and Jeffrey Kilpatrick, and great grandchildren: Caden Andrew Kilpatrick, Isabella Kilpatrick, Jason Owings and Austin P. Owings. Also surviving are Billy Owings and Chris Owings. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Gene McDaniels officiating.
