Dale Patricia Glaski Cole, a cherished member of the Troutman community, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, at Duke Health Lake Norman. Born on June 24, 1940, in Winthrop, Massachusetts, she lived a life dedicated to serving others and fostering her love for the natural world. She was 85 years old.
Dale was a devoted registered nurse, a profession through which she touched countless lives with her compassion and dedication. Her commitment to caring for others extended beyond her work, as she nurtured her love for gardening and the outdoors. Dale found immense joy in the simple beauty of nature, particularly in her love for animals and birds, whose presence brought her peace and delight.
A woman of faith, Dale was a valued member of the Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church, where she found spiritual nourishment and community. Her commitment to service also shone through as a charter member of Citizens for Troutman Library, reflecting her belief in the power of knowledge and community enrichment.
Dale was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Arthur Glaski and Hazel Hutchinson Glaski, her dear husband of 39 years, Richard Eric Cole, and her brother, Arthur Bruce Glaski. Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her surviving sister, Eva Leahy, who shared a bond that was both tender and enduring.
A memorial service to honor Dale's life and legacy will be held at 11 AM on December 3 at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church, officiated by Rev. Trent Patterson. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM at the church prior to the service. Her family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating a life characterized by love, kindness, and gentle strength.
