Dan was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Pawpaw, cherished brother, and faithful friend. He touched the lives of many through his kindness, strength, laughter, unwavering faith, and generous heart. One of Dan’s greatest joys was sharing his love for Jesus with everyone he met. Above all, he deeply loved his family, especially his beloved wife, Kat; his son, Danny; his grandchildren, Destiny, Daniel Dalton, and Danea; and his great-grandchildren, Naomi and Zane.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Kat Sizemore; his son Danny and daughter-in-law Tammy (Murphy) Sizemore; grandchildren, Destiny and her husband Nick Jones, Daniel Dalton Sizemore, and Danea and her husband Brandon Champy; great-grandchildren, Naomi and Zane Jones, and his siblings: Timothy and Seretha Sizemore of Westview, WV; Sammy and Marlene Sizemore of Shady Spring, WV; Dreama (Sizemore) and Clifford Hinsley of Hensley Holler, WV; Kenith and Sissy Sizemore of Shady Spring, WV; Melinda (Sizemore) Farris of Coal City, WV; and Paul Sizemore of Odd, WV; Sharon Bland of Beaver WV. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Ruby (Spears) Sizemore; his sisters; Vanna “Effie” Sizemore and Melissa Sizemore; and his brothers; Damon Sizemore and J.R. Sizemore.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Dan is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him, and rejoicing in the presence of his Savior. His love, faith, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice, caregivers, friends, and all those who offered love, prayers, and support during Dan’s illness and passing. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
