David Warren Hamby

David Warren Hamby, 73, of Statesville, died Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Gordon Hospice House.

He was born Nov. 15, 1950, to the late Leonard Allen Hamby and Ola Mae Spears Hamby. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Meshele Hamby, and a brother, Wayne Hamby.

He is survived by Sherri Wingler Hamby of Hiddenite; daughter, Kristi Spencer (Ken), of Durham; son David "Chad" Hamby (Katie), of Stanley; three grandsons, Patrick, Joseph and Jacob Hamby; and uncle, Lee McClure, of Statesville. 

The family will have a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gordon Hospice House of Statesville.
