Deborah Jean Massey Campbell

Deborah Jean Massey Campbell, age 68, of Statesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 8, 2024.  Born on November 25, 1955, in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late John William Massey and Christine Rector Massey.

Ms. Campbell loved the Lord and had a passion for doing the Lord's work.  she prayed for everyone whom she had ever talked to.  Her prayers were said daily.

In addition to her parents, John William and Christine Rector Massey, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Scott; and many aunts and uncles.  Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Christine Duchinski Fox; sisters, Brenda Johnson (Larry S. Johnson), and Diane Massey Cleary (Gary Cleary); brother, Larry Massey (Sandra Massey) nieces and nephews, Lisa Hooks (Bryan), Michael Johnson (Brandy), Bradley Wayne Massey (Pam), Junior Cleary, John Cleary (Pam), and Crystal Ward (Jason); and her great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved like her grandchildren, Morgan Hooks, Matt Hooks, Samantha Johnson, and Christopher Johnson.

A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Iredell Memorial Gardens.  The family would like to express their gratitude to the Iredell County Sheriffs Department, the City of Statesville Police Department, the surrounding churches, and to Nicholson Funeral Home for their care, compassion and support the showed Deborah and her family.  Nicholson Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
