Dennis Arnold Dishmond

It is with heavy hearts and deep respect that we announce the passing of Dennis Arnold Dishmond, who left this world at the age of 70 on June 23, 2025, in Statesville, NC. Born on January 25, 1955, in Iredell County, NC, Dennis lived a life filled with hard work, passion, and unwavering dedication to his family and interests.

Dennis's life journey was marked by his diverse career, where he contributed diligently across several industries. He worked in maintenance roles in textile manufacturing companies, and his hands shaped many projects as he held various job titles in masonry work, construction, and the gas line industry. His work ethic and skills were admired by colleagues and peers alike.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dennis was a man of great enthusiasm for the outdoors and sports. He found peace and joy in fishing and hunting, activities that brought him closer to nature and provided treasured moments of relaxation. A devoted fan of football, he proudly supported the New Orleans Saints, cheering them on with unwavering loyalty.

In his early life, Dennis was a member of Mt. Sinai Evangelical Methodist Church, grounding his values in faith and community. He received his education through Iredell-Statesville Schools, setting the foundation for a life of learning and growth.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Dishman; his mother, Eva Mae Estes Dishman; one brother; and two sisters. His legacy lives on through his son, Scottie Dishmond, two sisters, one grandchild, and a host of other family members and friends who cherished his presence and will carry forth his memory.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Dennis Arnold Dishmond will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will gather to remember a man whose life was marked by love, dedication, and an indomitable spirit.

Dennis's journey may have ended, but his impact and the memories he created will continue to inspire those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, passion, and love—a legacy that will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
