Diane Ward

Shirley Diane Gleaton Ward, 63, of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at her home following a lengthy illness. Shirley was born July 5, 1947 in Iredell County and was the daughter of Vivian Pearl Williams Gleaton and the late Arthur Elbert Gleaton. Mrs. Ward attended Iredell County Schools was married to Phillip Harry Ward, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Ward was retired from Mooresville Shirt Mill and she was a member of First Church of Nazarene. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Ward is also survived by three sons, Robert Arthur Ward of Troutman, William Todd Ward (Marlana) of Statesville, and Michael Chad Ward of Mooresville. She is also survived by one brother, James Gleaton of Mooresville along with six grandchildren, Elyssa and Meaghan, and Jesse Ward, Brittney Beckworth, and Savannah and McKenzee Amos. Funeral services for Mrs. Ward will be conducted 2:30 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Harry Hensley Jr. officiating.
