With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Dianna Kay Baker, lovingly known to many as "Gramma," on July 20, 2025, in Statesville, NC. Dianna was born on August 22, 1952, in Buncombe County, NC, and lived a remarkable life of 72 years.

Dianna was an inspiring soul whose love and warmth touched everyone she met. Her life's journey was filled with stitching together a tapestry of love, family, and friendship. As a dedicated seamstress, her hands created more than just garments; they crafted love and comfort that enveloped her loved ones.

Her passions were as vibrant as the threads she worked with—she found joy in the simple pleasures of life: sewing, spending time with her beloved family, doting over her cherished cats, and embracing the serenity of the beach.

Dianna's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She was a devoted attendee of online services at The Cove Church, where she drew inspiration and strength.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenie Worley Banks and Donald Earl Baker, her sister Regina Gail Banks, her brother Donald Earl Baker, Jr., and John Cantrell. Their memories remained close to her heart, as she is now reunited with them in peace.

Dianna's legacy of love continues through her surviving family: her sons JW "Bill" Noblitt, Jr. (Tuulekka) and Jerry Wayne Sprinkle; her daughter Darby Raye Price (Rob); her sister Kathey Smithem and brother Dwayne Keith Baker, along with brother W. W. Bill Banks (Sophie). Her grandchildren Sheldon Thomas, Crystal Gilmore, Jasmine Adams (Rodney), Margie Kay Ware, Joshua Ray Robinson (Kate), Donovan Laine Sprinkle, Tristan Kincaid Howard, and Jasmine Kilpatrick (Jon), Nikki Howell, Ryan Price and Jamison Price carry forward her spirit, along with her great-grandchildren Jaylen Ware, Rileigh Gilmore, Bella Gilmore, Jaxson Price, Elizabeth Showmar, Lucian Adams, Violet Kilpatrick, Harlow Elgin, Amara Robinson and Lucas Kilpatrick. Her best friend RW Sprinkle “Mickey” will cherish many life journeys along with her devoted friends whom she leaves behind, Felicia J. Edwards and Tammy Rogers, who stood by her side through life's many seasons.

A gathering of friends to celebrate Dianna's life will be held at Nicholson Funeral Home on Tuesday July 29, 2025 at 3:00PM. We invite all who knew and loved Dianna to join us in remembering her incredible life and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.

Though she has sewn her final stitch, Dianna's love continues to bind us together. May we all draw comfort from her memory and find inspiration in the beautiful life she led.
