Edward Lee Osborne

Edward Lee Osborne, 69, of Hamptonville, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born March 20, 1947 in Saltville, Virginia to the late Ernest Osborne and Dorothy Wright Osborne. After his graduation from High School he was in the Air Force and the Army Reserve. Mr. Osborne was the store manager for the former Eckerd Drugs, Revco, and CVS Pharmacies and was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a great cook. Ed never met a stranger and his grandchildren were his world. On May 28, 1975, Ed married Deborah Coates Osborne who survives. He is further survived by 2 daughters, Christine Osborne, and Angela Eglinger, 3 grandchildren, Brianna Osborne, Katlyn Eglinger, Danielle Eglinger, a sister, Brenda Estep, and his his boxer, Ceaser, and a Jack Russell/Beagle mix, Gracie. Services for Mr. Osborne will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 at 2:00 at Union Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Neill Shaw officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.
