Erma T. Jordan, a cherished resident of Iredell County, NC, passed away peacefully from natural causes on May 10, 2025, just shy of her 93rd birthday. Born on May 15, 1932, in the same county that would remain her lifelong home, Erma embodied the spirit of kindness, devotion, and love.
Erma's heart overflowed with love for children. She delighted in nurturing the young, sharing her wisdom and compassion freely, laying down seeds of kindness and understanding that would flourish in generations to come. Her legacy of love is carried on by her three sons and two daughters, along with her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren who will continue to draw strength from the values she imparted.
Although she is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Wesley Tayse and Dora Lee Lambert Tayse; her beloved husband, Comer Jordan; and eight siblings. Erma's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her spirit endures through the loving presence of her children, Wanda Wooten (Steve), Rick Jordan (Donna), Tim Jordan (Carol), Sandra Crater (Eddie), Roger Jordan (Cindy), seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren; her sister, Jean Sloan; who survive her.
A graveside service to honor Erma's life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Taylor Springs Baptist Church, located at 443 Taylor Springs Rd, Union Grove, NC 28689. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the remarkable life of a woman whose gentle touch enriched all corners of her community.
Erma T. Jordan’s life was a testament to the enduring power of love and family. Her legacy will forever inspire all those fortunate enough to have been graced by her presence. She leaves behind a garden eternally in bloom, tended by a soul that will never fade from our hearts.
