Felicia Jean Freeman Bennett, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Union Grove, NC, on August 5, 2026. Born on November 18, 1967, in Iredell County, NC, she graced this world with 58 years of love, kindness, and creativity.

Felicia was adopted by Carolyn and Clarence Freeman Jr., who nurtured her with love and support. She attended North Iredell High School and went on to earn her CNA certification from Mitchell Community College. With compassion and dedication, Felicia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Dudleys Home Health, where she touched the lives of many through her gentle care and unwavering commitment.

Her hands were never idle, as Felicia found joy in crocheting, making bracelets, and crafting beautiful pieces that reflected her vibrant spirit. These hobbies were not simply pastimes but expressions of her love and creativity that she generously shared with family and friends.

Felicia was preceded in death by her husband, Jason Padgett, and her forever soulmate, Alan Bennett, lovingly known as Superman. She is survived by her cherished mother, Carolyn Godfrey; her devoted daughters, Amanda Borgilt (Mike), Candice McLelland (April), and Jana Bennett; and her adored grandchildren, Corbin Cooley, Caiden Bennett, Gavan Bennett, Wesley Wooten, Lydiah Hooper, Jaxan Wooten, Oaklee Wooten, and Legend McLelland. Her lifelong best friend, Lori Fox, will forever hold dear the memories of their enduring friendship.

Felicia's family invites you to celebrate her life at a Gathering of Friends and Family on August 15, 2026, from 4-6 PM at her daughter’s home located at 584 Jane Sowers Rd in Statesville. It will be a time to remember her warmth, her laughter, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Iredell County, an organization close to Felicia's heart or directly to the family in assisting with the Memorial Service.

Felicia Jean Freeman Bennett will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
