George Junior Turner, 66, of Statesville, NC, passed away at his home on October 22, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on July 1, 1960, in Milwaukee, George will be remembered as a man whose joyful spirit and warm presence left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

George was a graduate of North Iredell High School and later retired from William T. Burnett. He attended Rocky Creek AME Zion Church, where faith was a part of his life and journey. Through the years, he was known for the simple but meaningful things that brought him happiness. He loved music, loved to eat, and most of all loved his family and friends and spending time with them.

Those who knew George will remember his laughter and the energy he brought into every room. He loved to laugh and have fun, and he was truly the life of the party everywhere he went. His presence was uplifting, and his ability to enjoy the moment made time spent with him memorable.

George leaves behind his son, Jacobe Falice, a sister, Clarice Redmon of Brooklyn NY, special cousins, Gloria Mills, Henry Gaither (Sedalia), Ernest Gaither (Stephanie), Diane Chambers, , special friends, Pam Falice, who was the mother of his son, Travis Campbell, Tashon Gaither, Keron Turner, Patrick Turner, Tish Rankins, Dametrish Thompson, the Wilson family, the Thompson family of Harmony who were very close to him, and many other family members and friends. They will carry forward his memory with love.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Johnsie Turner, Ernest and Novella Gaither who raised him following his mother's death, cousins, James Gaither, Kenneth Gaither and Stamey Gaither.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Kimbrough Park, 1833 Greenbriar Rd., Statesville, NC 28677 with Cathy Murray officiating. Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair.

As family and friends remember George Junior Turner, they will hold close the joy he shared, the love he gave so freely, and the many moments of fellowship and laughter that defined his life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
