Harvey Lee Waddell, 70, of Statesville, died May 1, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Iredell County on April 5, 1954, he was a son of the late Odell Waddell and Guynell Cheeks Waddell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Mason Waddell and a brother, Ernie Waddell
He was a retired painter and enjoyed playing bingo, bird watching, fishing, liked his work and loved his cats.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Mason Smoot (Russell), 2 grandchildren, Nolan Mash (Carolyn) and Christopher Mash, along with one great granddaughter, Ellie Mash.
Also surviving are brothers, Donnie Waddell (Pamela), Calvin Waddell , Michael Waddell and Roger Waddell along with a sister, Anna Ernest (Allen).
Services will be private.
Nicholson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
