Henry Tom Mickens

Henry Tom Mickens, 82, passed away at Brookstone Retirement Center in Lexington, February 17, 2020. Mr. Mickens will always be remembered by friends and family for his love of talking smack. He enjoyed life to the fullest and wanted to spread the joy and light heartedness to those around him. He cherished his family and is survived by his daughters, Vickie Eller (Tony) Crystal Simrel; sister, Nellie Mickens; Grandchildren, Tierra Leak, Alexandria Eller, Christopher Eller, Robert Eller, Jr., Alexis Simrel; 4 Great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Freedom Baptist Church, 214 Hillcrest Court, Lexington, NC., with a private burial to follow on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Salisbury National Cemetery.
