Irene Marie Poffenberger

Irene Marie Poffenberger, age 82, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Born on April 14, 1940, in Bryson City (Swain County), North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Wade Dunbar and Cynthia Dunbar.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Laura Winters, and Vena "Missy" Harrison; her son, Jerry Harrison; and her 11 brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Ken Harrison; and grandchildren, Shannon Marie Harrison Winters, Emily Winters, and Amanda Winters.
A service to celebrate her life will be held privately at a future date.
