Jackie "Jack" Dean Kitchens

Jackie “Jack” Dean Kitchens, 77 of Statesville, died Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House.

He was born in Lockhart, South Carolina on August 27, 1945, to the late Henry Jackson Kitchens, Jr., and Vernie Lee Johnson. Jack graduated from Lockhart High School and then joined the Army. He was an avid sports fan, loved to play golf and sing karaoke.

Jack was preceded in death by the love of his life, Connie Sherrill Kitchens, his wife of over 25 years, and a daughter, Michelle Kitchens Waldrop.

Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Joey Kitchens (Becky), two daughters, Evie Henline (Todd), Sandy Kitchens Gentry, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a brother, Mike Kitchens, and other family members.

A Visitation for Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, July 8th, 2023, from 12pm-2pm at TrueVine Worship Center, 188 S. Shady Rest Rd., Statesville, NC 28677.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to TrueVine Worship Center, 188 S. Shady Rest Rd., Statesville, NC 28677.
