Janet Mary Muzia

Janet Mary Muzia, beloved wife and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at Gordon Hospice House. She was born on March 29, 1935, in Cook County, Illinois, and was known for her warm spirit and kind heart.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Mocksville, NC.

Janet is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Edward Muzia, who was her partner and confidant throughout their life together. Her legacy is deeply rooted in the lives she touched and the memories she created with those around her.

Janet's Siblings: Jacob Arendarcyzk, deceased, Joann Bohler, Robert Arendarcyzk, deceased, William Arendarcyzk and Marian Maffett, deceased. Her children: Mecque Theresa Boggs, deceased, Phyllis Wietrczyk, Stevens,Renna, Strange, Robin Reavis and Susan Wilson, Janet's Two Stepchildren: Sterling Church, Marilyn Helton and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob John and Mary Ann Kmiec Aredarczyk, whose love and guiding influence shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Janet carried with her the values instilled in her during her formative years, which she shared generously with everyone she encountered.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 12:45 pm on Wednesday January 7, 2026 at the funeral home. A funeral service to honor Janet's life will be held at Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville, North Carolina, on Wednesday January 7, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Father Eric Kowalski officiating. Entombment will take place at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Her family invites all who knew her to join them in celebrating her remarkable journey and the lasting impact she made on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
