Jenettie L. Gildard Mitchell Church, 93, of Tomlin Mill Rd., Statesville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Church was born August 11, 1917 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Edmund F. Mitchell and Pearl Mae White Mitchell. She attended Iredell County schools and on April 7, 1931, was married to the late Boyce Odell Church, who died in 1986. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Evangelical Church and was retired from J.P. Stevens after 40 years. Jenettie is survived by four children, Betty Dowdle (Ray) of Statesville, Pearl Tilley of Statesville, Margie Kilpatrick of Statesville, Odell Church (Debbie) of Lenior, 14 grandchildren; Brenda Bell (Odean), Diane Lewis (Marty), Garry Tilley (Kay), Mike Kilpatrick (Kim), Steve Dowdle (Ginger), Scott Kilpatrick (Judy), Randy Church (Jill), Terry Church (Teresa), Allen Church (Karen), Keith Church (Patricia), Rick Dowdle (Julie), Susie Jordan (David), Kim Stoer (Jonathan), Jamie Welborn (Jason), 29 great grandchildren; Matt Tilley, Amanda Jones (Cameron), Jessica Hicks (Dallas), John Tilley (Jenn), Steven Dowdle (Holly), Crystal Mayes (Jimmy), Kyle Bell, Megan Gregoire (Nick), Amy Kilpatrick, Nathan Church, Kayleigh Church, Meredith Church, Mary Ann Kilpatrick, Kaci Williams, Bradley Jordan, Ethan Dowdle, Hannah Church, Annie Church, Blake Jordan, Skyler Isenhour, John Church, James Church, Karlie Dowdle, Dawson Church, Samara Welborn, Chase Stoer, Leela Church, Jeremiah Collins, Aaron Collins, five great great grandchildren; Ali Grace Dowdle, Abi Kilpatrick, Garrett Mayes, Madison Gregoire, Riley Dowdle and one sister-in-law, Doris Mitchell. In addition to her parents and husband, Jenettie was preceded in death by an infant son, son, Bobby Church (Martha), one grandchild, Kenny Church, one great grandchild, Ashley Kilpatrick, five brothers, Lee, Tom, Clarence, Robert and Sidney Mitchell, two sisters, Dovie Kilpatrick and Nina Fox and two son-in-laws, Johnnie Tilley and Melvin Kilpatrick. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at Mt. Sinai Evangelical Methodist Church with Pastor David Walters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt.
