Jimmy Towayne "Wayne" Clark, 67, of Statesville, a beloved family man and dedicated member of his community, passed away peacefully at his home on September 3, 2025, following a sudden illness. Born on February 20, 1958, in Iredell County, North Carolina, Wayne was a proud product of Iredell County Schools, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with hard work and dedication.

Wayne retired as a forklift operator for JC Penney Logistics, where he was well-respected and known for his strong work ethic. His contributions to his profession were characterized by his commitment and professionalism, which left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure to work alongside him.

Wayne attended of Davidsonville Baptist Church, where he drew strength and inspiration from his faith. He was also well-known for his impeccable sense of style, always sharp-dressed and intent on looking his best, reflecting both his confidence and character.

A true family-oriented man, Wayne cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his two sons, Marcus Clark and Tremaine Clark; his two daughters, Swanna Rinehardt and Shera Lyons; three brothers, Craig Clark, Ronald Clark, and Billy Clark (Belinda); a sister, Angela Williams; along with 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Wayne was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins (now known as the Commanders) and in his earlier years, enjoyed playing basketball. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to bond with family and friends.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father, James Clark; his mother, Mary Frances Chipley Clark; a brother, Anthony Chipley; and a sister, Priscilla Clark. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life. He will be remembered not just for his accomplishments, but for the warmth and kindness he showed to everyone around him.
