Joan Childress Mcdaniel

Joan Childress McDaniel, 70, of Mooresville, died Friday, October 13, 2017 at home. Born in Washington, D.C. on August 14, 1947, she was a daughter of the late John Childress and Naomi Venna Short Childress. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas McDaniel, a daughter, Faith McDaniel, a sister, Donna Childress, a grandson, Thomas Dargon McDaniels and a great granddaughter, Brooklyn Faith McDaniels. She was a retired C.N.A. and enjoyed time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog. Survivors include her children: Tommy McDaniel (JoAnn), Cathy West (Donnie), Terry McDaniel, Jimmy McDaniel(Pam) and Robert McDaniel (Donna), along with 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a nephew, John Childress. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
