Joel Philip Knight

Mr. Joel Philip Knight, 73, passed away on April 22, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. The son of the late William Lee Knight, Sr. and Miriam Christine Knight, Joel proudly served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a land surveyor. In addition to his parents, Joel was predeceased by his brother William Lee Knight, Jr. (Martha) and sister Carolyn Knight. He is the proud father of and survived by Laurie Knight Phelps (Cliff) of Summerfield, Kimberly Knight of Greensboro, and Michael Todd Knight of Greensboro. He is also survived by a sister Annette Knight and brothers Frank Knight (Jackie) and James Knight (Debbie), all of Greensboro, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-granddaughters. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hillsdale Primitive Baptist Church, c/o James Knight, 7640 Royster Road, Greensboro, NC 27455.
