John Anthony Eaton, born on March 5, 1952, in Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, in Statesville, NC, at the age of 74. Throughout his life, John exemplified dedication, passion, and love for the world around him.

John embarked on a distinguished career that began at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) in Illinois, where his contributions were as impactful as they were inspiring. His journey then took him to Colorado, where he worked with First Data, before moving to North Carolina to lend his expertise at the Lowes Data Center in Winston-Salem. After a fulfilling career, John retired and settled in Statesville, NC, where he continued to enrich the lives of those around him.

A man of varied interests, John found joy in the skies as an avid flyer and cherished every moment spent outdoors. Whether playing golf, attending St. Louis Cardinals games, or watching sunsets at the beach, he embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude.

John's educational journey began in Collinsville, IL, where he attended high school and became a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. His faith was an integral part of his life, and he was a devoted member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Statesville, NC.

Above all, Susan was the love of John's life, and their 19 years together were filled with love and cherished memories. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Eaton and Jacqueline Carabec Eaton. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Eaton, who stood by his side through life's many adventures.

In keeping with John's wishes, no services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, a place that provided comfort and care to John in his final days.

John Anthony Eaton leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and inspiration. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his life.
