Jonathan Ray Christopher, 44, of Statesville, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on May 27, 2025. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Born on May 17, 1981, Jonathan was a student of West Iredell High School and went on to earn an associate degree in Speech-Language Therapy from Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC). His big heart, quick wit, and love for life left an enduring impression on everyone he met.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Jamie Renee Christopher; his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Dorothy Cash; and his paternal grandparents, Virginia & Ray Monroe Christopher.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Alivia Christopher; his loving mother, Susan Broyhill; and his father, Ray Christopher. He also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members who will miss him greatly.
Jonathan had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in riding motorcycles, hiking, being on the lake, and spending time at the beach. He loved music, his dog Axl, and most of all, his daughter Alivia, who was the light of his life.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14, at Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville. Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of remembrance at 1:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers Jonathan was recently planning to setting up a college fund for Alavia. The family is working on setting that up and will update when ready.
Though Jonathan’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. May his memory continue to bring smiles, just as he brought joy and laughter to so many.
