Joseph Lane Ritchie

Mr. Joseph Lane Ritchie, 28, of Statesville, passed away, unexpectedly, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Joe was born December 20, 1986 in Forsyth County and was the son of the late James Nelson Ritchie and Deborah Hester Lindley and husband, Tim of Statesville. He was a graduate of Statesville High School, Mitchell Community College, attended Western Carolina University and served in the U.S. Army as a Sargent. He was the owner and operator of Action Plumbing, LLC and loved working on cars. He loved listening and playing music, especially the bass guitar and drums. He had a great love for hiking and the outdoors. In addition to his mother and step-father, Joe is survived by his fiance, Kayla Cardenas of Mooresville, two brothers, James Nathan and Jessica Ritchie of Statesville, Jonathan Royce Ritchie of Charlotte and several aunts, uncles and 17 cousins. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
