Born in Iredell County on October 3, 1950, he was a son of the late Ruffus Sharpe and
Lilly Summers Sharpe. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Buster and Jim
Sharpe and sisters: Elizabeth Shoemaker, Norma Shoemaker, Mary Shoemaker, and
Mae Walker.
He loved to "wheel and deal”, farm, NASCAR, old cars, spending time with family &
friends, and he loved to have fun.
Survivors include a brother, John Sharpe (Margie) and several nieces and nephews that
he was close to, and many special friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 Friday at the Olin Cemetery with Pastor
Roger Holland officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Nicholson
Funeral Home from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M.
