Omer Fields McCoy, Jr, 79, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. Jim was born October 26, 1933, in Rowan County, NC and was the son of the late Omer Fields McCoy, Sr., and Mary Smith McCoy. He attended Iredell County Schools and served in the U.S. Army. On December 5, 1953 he was married to Dorothy Overcash McCoy, who survives. He worked for the J.C. Penney Distribution Center for 37
