Julio Benjamin Moreno

Julio Benjamin Moreno, 68 of Statesville died Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Colombia on September 21, 1955, to the late Gabriel Moreno and Ana Ordosgoitia.

Julio loved music and sometimes played in the band at Luz de Vida Church. He enjoyed watching sports, especially soccer, and his favorite team was Junior de Barranquilla. More than anything else, he loved his family and spending time with them.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 38 years, Rosa Henao, a daughter, Erika Moreno (Ayaz Sindhi), and a sister, Sofi Cardona (Horacio).

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home.
