Kenneth Earl Crew

Mr. Kenneth Earl Crew, 75, of Statesville, passed away, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.



Mr. Crew was born April 15, 1943 in Akron, Oh and was the son of the late Denver Earl Crew and Lily Amtower Crew. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School in West Virginia and on September 10, 1966, he married Audra Rae "Cookie" Crew, who survives. He was retired from US Army in Recruiting and Retention and later moved to Cape Coral, FL, where he ran his own Captain & Crew boat service. In 2006, Cookie and Ken moved to Statesville, where he joined St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a member of several military organizations.



In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, William Casey Crew of Statesville, daughter he never had, Terri Dixon of Tampa, FL, two sisters, Carol Crew of Statesville, Charlotte C. Rankin of WV; two brothers, Edward Crew (Marian) of Statesville, Randy Crew of Raleigh; godson, Patrick Will, special niece, Lilly K. Crew of Statesville, special friends, Scott and Tom from FL, Mary Will from OH and too many others to mention. He is further survived by a step-mother, Ruth Ann Dotson Crew of WV; three step-sisters and one step-brother. Ken was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Crew and Mitzi Crew.
