Kenneth M Taylor, age 79, passed away August 15, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem after a lengthy illness.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Brenda; his parents, Sebern and Ruby Maye Taylor; one brother; two sisters; three brothers-in-law; one daughter-in-law; twin granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his six children, Kenny (Lisa) Taylor, Melissa Hastings and Steven Munoz of the home, all of Statesville, NC, Nicky (Savannah) Taylor, of Dallas, NC, Ricky (Kathy) Taylor, of Great Bend, KS, Michael (Sherry) Taylor, of Hamptonville, NC; and one daughter-in-law, Alvera Taylor, of Mocksville, NC. Ken is also survived by one sister, Sherry Jackson, of Statesville, NC; and one brother, Leslie Taylor, of Oklahoma City, OK. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Nicholson Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 21, 2023, at Statesville Full Gospel Tabernacle – The Wave Church Cemetery with Heather Besoiu, Funeral Celebrant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mitchell Community College’s Nursing Scholarship in honor of all the nurses and doctors who cared for our loving father over the last three months.
