Kenneth Morton Maines

April 28, 1944 — April 4, 2023

Kenneth Morton Maines, age 78, of Holly Springs, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. Born on April 28, 1944, in Morristown, NJ, formerly Netcong, he was the son of the late Zola Eller Maines and Clifford Frederick Maines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zola Eller Maines and Clifford Frederick Maines; and his brother, Clifford Maines.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 34 years, Marcia Maines; his children, Kenny Maines (Debbie) of High Point, Donald Maines of Oak Ridge, Jimmy Maines (April) of Thomasville, Kristina Frazier (Jeff) of Holly Springs, and Joe Maines of Charlotte; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and brother, Winston Maines (Betty) of Thomasville.

Ken was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and an outdoorsman. He loved the Carolina Panthers and the New York Yankees. Ken was also a volunteer firefighter.

Ken had a love for traveling, especially "Nevada" and the West, and he also enjoyed riding motorcycles.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who cherished his family.

Ken completed his apprenticeship at Picatinny Arsenal as a Tool and Die Maker in Rockaway Township, NJ. He went on to craft his skills at several other companies. Then in 1976, he began working at Nymar Manufacturing in Randolph, NJ where he moved on to become a shop foreman. This is where he met his future wife, Marcia.

He honed his skills in the blow molding industry leading him and Marcia to move to High Point, NC in 1991. It was then he and Marcia started their family business, Triad Precision Products in which they owned for 30 years.

Ken was admired by many in the blow molding industry for his skills and design knowledge. He and Marcia retired in 2021 and shortly after moved to Holly Springs, NC where he and Marcia continued to enjoy camping and traveling around the country and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

After a 10-year hard-fought battle with illnesses, he passed at home surrounded by all his loved ones. He was a leader of his peers and an inspiration to all.
