Kimyale Janien Dobbins, of Iredell County, North Carolina, passed away on September 14, 2026, at Select Specialty at Moses Cone in Greensboro, North Carolina, following a period of declining health. She was 48.
Born on November 28, 1977, in Iredell County, Kimyale lived with strength, warmth, and a fearless spirit that left a lasting impression on those around her. She worked as an aide in healthcare and also in textile manufacturing, bringing dedication and determination to the responsibilities she carried through the years.
More than anything, Kimyale will be remembered for the way she loved. She loved hard, especially her family, and she worked tirelessly to make sure they were cared for. Her heart was big, generous, and open, and she would do anything for the people she loved. She had a gift for making holidays—and especially birthdays—feel special, turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. She was a true foodie who loved to eat, and her enjoyment of life brought joy to others. She was never scared of anything, meeting life with boldness and resolve. She also had a fondness for Hello Kitty, a sweet reflection of the playful and distinctive spirit that was entirely her own.
Her memory will be treasured most dearly by her daughters, Dezyale Allison and Ja'niyah Allison (Brandon Torrence), and her life partner and father of her children, Desmond Allison. Who were the center of her love and labor. In them, her care, sacrifice, and devotion continue on, and the bond they shared remains a lasting part of her legacy. Also survivng is her father Garry Morrison,two brothers, Gary White and Lynn Morrison (Tonik), her special "soul sisters" Lori Smyre, Shonyeka Smith, Stephanie Campbell, Kenya Martin, Amy Jo Walker, Kadisha Harris, and her god-grandchildren, Jamaries Rhames, Knowledge Imes, Kingston Imes, Karma Imes. And a aray of nieces and nephews.
Kimyale was preceded in death by her Mother, Brenda Dobbins, and Grandmother Mildred “Sis” Dobbins
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home, 135 E Front St, Statesville, North Carolina 28677. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel, 135 E. Front St., Statesville, North Carolina 28677. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
Kimyale Janien Dobbins will be remembered for her courage, her generosity, her hardworking nature, and the love she poured so freely into her family. Her life was one of sacrifice, celebration, and heart, and her memory will remain deeply cherished.
