Kristina Ruth Winters

Kristina Ruth Winters, 70, of Statesville, died peacefully Monday, January 8, 2017 following a brief illness. She was born August 5, 1946 to the late Frank G. Winters, Sr. and Ruth Dasher Winters. She was of the Lutheran Faith; loved music, was a loving person, and never met a stranger Kris is survived by her brother, F. Glenn "Frosty" Winters (Diane) of Statesville; her sister, Kathy W. Gibson (Paul) of Statesville; nephew, Mark Gibson; and nieces, Kimberly W. Holcomb, Lori K. Gibson, Rebecca W. Russell, and Sheryl W. McKelvey. Also surviving are four grand nephews and four grand nieces; as well as special aunts, Elizabeth Winters Freeze of Statesville and Lillian Dasher of Elliott City, MD. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 until 10:45 am Friday, January 13, 2017 in the church lounge at St. John's Lutheran Church and the service of remembrance will follow in the church sanctuary at 11:00 am. Intermit will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A special thanks goes to the staff of Brian Center Nursing Home for the loving and devoted care given to Kris during her 16 + years that she was a resident there.
