Larry Everette Carlisle, born on July 30, 1936, in Gaston County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 17, 2025, in Mooresville, North Carolina. He lived a long and fulfilling life, reaching the age of 88.
Larry was a dedicated individual who contributed significantly to every community he was part of. A patriot at heart, he served his country with honor as a member of the United States Marine Corps. His commitment to service extended beyond his military career, as he was also an active member of the American Legion, supporting fellow veterans with unwavering loyalty and compassion.
His professional journey led him to Shaver Wood Products, where he served diligently as a Night Watchman. Larry was known for his reliability, integrity, and steadfast dedication to his work. His presence was a source of comfort and security to those around him.
Educated in the Gaston County Schools, Larry valued the lessons learned throughout his schooling and carried these values forward into his personal and professional life. Though he encountered challenges, he faced them with courage and fortitude, inspiring those who knew him.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Curtis B. Carlisle, and his mother, Gussie Lee Connor. He is survived by his loving step-daughter, Leslie Baranieski (Wes), and his devoted step-son, Sean Dolan. Larry's legacy of strength, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A man of principle and dedication, Larry’s life was a testament to perseverance and commitment. Although he will be greatly missed, the love and wisdom he shared with those around him will continue to inspire for generations to come.
