Leo Mendez

Leo Calvario Mendez, 56, of Taylorsville, formally of Mexico, died on March 29, 2022 at Gordon Hospice House.

Born on October 2, 1965 in Mexico, he was the son of Espedeo Calvario and Maclovla Mendez.

Leo is survived by wife, Berta Mejia; children, Jose Calvario, Alex Calvario (Sabrina Jolly), Alan Calvario and Flora Calvario; brother, Estevan Calvario; sister, Carnacio Calvario and other family members.

Funeral Mass will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Taylorsville at 1pm. The family will gather and receive friends from 10-11am on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Nicholson Funeral Home. Burial will follow Mass at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville.
