Linda Carol Trivette Jolly, 78, of Statesville, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Gordon Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 24, 1947 in Iredell County, NC she was the daughter of the late Clyde Trivette and Marietta Shoemaker Trivette. In addition to her parents, she was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Jack Dean Jolly; her daughter, Penny Lee Jolly; her brother, Larry Trivette, and her sister, Lillian Shoemaker.
Linda enjoyed being a turkey farmer for the majority of her career. Many, however, will fondly remember her as the owner of Jack’s Place in Love Valley where she and her husband Jack welcomed friends and visitors for 15 years. She also worked at the Manheim Statesville Auto Auction part time for 20 years. Linda was always so full of life with her bright smile and outgoing personality—she truly was a social butterfly. She had a remarkable ability to see the positive in any situation and often made “lemonade out of lemons.”
She loved dancing, especially during karaoke nights, and enjoyed riding side-by-sides, tubing down the river, and spending time at the beach. Linda found joy in the outdoors, gardening, and even mowing the lawn. A woman of faith, she was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in her early years and more recently enjoyed attending Lake City Church in Mooresville. Most of all, she dearly loved and cherished spending time with her family. Her granddaughter and great-grandchildren were the apple of her eye.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kelly Bowman; granddaughter, Brittanie Turner; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Turner and Kinslee Turner; brother, Charles (Jane) Trivette; brother-in-laws, Jimmy Jolly, and Archie Guy; sister-in-laws, Dorothy Jolly, Cathy (Marcus) Elliott, and Lois Connor. In addition, she will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her adored fur grandbabies, Rocco, Izzy, Cooper and Charlie, who brought her endless joy and cuddles.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Nicholson Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow and begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home. The family is also planning a celebration of life at the home later this fall.
