Lois Crawford Perdue, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the age of 63. Born on June 4, 1963, in Statesville, North Carolina, Lois lived a life marked by dedication to her family, her work, and her passions.

Lois was the cherished daughter of the late William Henry Crawford and Dorothy Lawrence Crawford. She spent her early years in Statesville, before the family relocated to Elk Creek, Virginia, where she formed lifelong bonds with her family and friends. Her career was one of service, working diligently as a manager for the Social Security Administration until her retirement. Her commitment to her work was mirrored in her personal interests, which included a love for reading, traveling, and playing golf.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Samuel Perdue, who stood by her side through all of life's seasons. Lois leaves behind her brother, William Burton "Burt" Crawford (Norie); her sisters, Jackie Smith (James), and Mary Rose Kennedy (Barry). She was a proud and loving aunt to her nieces, Victoria Beachley and Elizabeth Kennedy, and her nephews, William Crawford and John Crawford. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time spent with them.

Lois's warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. Her family and friends will forever remember her laughter and the joy she brought into their lives.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Lois Crawford Perdue will be held on Saturday, September 19th, at 11:00am, at Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects to a remarkable woman who will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
