Margaret Louise Barkley

Mrs. Margaret Louise Pryor Barkley, 83, of Statesville, died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Mapleleaf Health Care Center. Born in Iredell County on September 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Walter May Pryor and Rubie Wagoner Pryor. She worked at Woolworth and last worked at Intercraft Industries. She was a loving mother and grandmother and an avid NASCAR fan. Survivors include sons, Rick Barkley (Kim) and Phillip Barkley (Rovonda) all of Statesville, daughters, Deborah Martin (Ronnie) of Statesville and Sandra Reeves of Harmony. Also surviving are grandchildren: Tiffany, Nicole, Brandon, Allison, Zachary, Tabitha, John and Lindsay and four great grandchildren. Additional survivors include a brother, Ed Pryor of Troutman and sisters, Catherine Stikeleather of Troutman and Rebecca Gray of Statesville along with 1 niece and 4 nephews and a cousin, Maxine Keith whom she was especially close to. Graveside services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Tuesday at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Dr. Bobby Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M.
