Mary Nell Pruitt

Mary Nell Pruitt, 78, passed away January 7, 2026.

Mary was born in Iredell County North Carolina on July 27, 1947 to the late Gothard Teaster and Francies Nell Benfield. Mary was a loving and devoted woman whose life was centered around her family and home. She found great joy in cooking and sewing, talents she shared generously with those she loved. Mary took pride in caring for her children and creating a warm, welcoming home filled with comfort and love.

She especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness and were the light of her life. Mary’s kindness, dedication, and nurturing spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, April Marshall.

Mary is survived by her sister, Nancy Martin; son, Larry Pruitt; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, family members and friends .
