Michael K Horoschuck

August 31, 1959 — January 15, 2024

Statesville

Michael Horoschuck, 64, of Statesville, NC passed away peacefully at home from a lengthy illness. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 31, 1959, the oldest son of Jerry and Valerie Horoschuck. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Albion, Pennsylvania where he spent his childhood, graduating from Albion High School. He married his sweetheart, Janet in 1981. They spent their first 22 years of marriage in Pennsylvania and their last 20 years together in sunny North Carolina.

Michael was a talented, hard-working, spirited man. A definite do-it-yourself kind of guy. He was witty and playful; teasing was often his way of showing affection. He loved his family and many friends who were all a major part of his life. He was a life-long member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and this was the biggest priority in his life, spending many selfless volunteer hours of his life serving other people. He was a musician and avid animal lover; dogs were always welcome to share the bed at night.

Michael is survived by his wife: Janet Horoshuck of Statesville, NC; his parents: Jerry and Valerie Horoschuck of Statesville, NC, his sole sister: Julie Bethrong and husband Shad of Statesville, NC, nieces and nephews: Brody, Savanna and Abby Bethrong.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 318 James Farm Rd, Statesville, NC 28625 at 3:00 pm.   The service will be held also via Zoom, ID: 491-357-4142, Passcode: 191411918.
